Xtreme Prototypes is proud to announce the release of its Avro CF-105 Arrow add-on aircraft package for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Flight Simulator 2004. The software includes six variations of the legendary Canadian 'all-weather' high-altitude interceptor, two fully functional 3D virtual cockpits, Arrow custom sound sets, 14 camera definitions for FSX, 10 saved flights based on Arrow test flights or fictitious but anticipated missions, and a 60-page user manual inspired from original Avro flight manuals in English and French (PDF format).
This is an update for FS9 of the Alphasim F-8 Crusader. I have changed the panel view angle so it is easier to see out to fly and land. I changed the GPS, the clock, one angle of attack meter, the airspeed gauge, changed the size of the autopilot, and added a hud. I have also done the usual update of the flight dynamics so the aircraft is easier to fly and, I hope, closer to the real aircraft speed envelope. This is only for FS9 as a few things, such as the position of the smoke, make it less functional in FSX. For FSX, see the other update of this aircraft.
Beta external model only. Avro vulcan type 698 bulit in the 1950's then sadly lost at an airshow this was the very first vulcan built it was smaller and had no bomb aimers blister and had the original type 1 wingthe model has no panel so i have used the standard 747 panel
The Saab 37 Viggen was designed to meet a requirement for an integrated weapons system with high performance, exceptional versatility, and STOL capability from runways which were nothing more than lengths of straight road. The result was an unusual aircraft utilizing a double-delta wing configuration, with canard foreplanes. A remarkable aircraft, the Viggen had superb STOL performance and was able to take off and land in as little as 400 metres. The powerful engine was equipped with a very effective thrust reverse system and could drop into short, improvised airstrips, make a U-turn, and take off just as easily. A wing flap system was incorporated into the canard which provided a reasonably low landing speed, and this, coupled with the powerful brakes, helped immensely in the short landings. First flown in 1967, the final versions were delivered in 1990, with a total of all variants coming to 329 of a planned 800. From the freeware releases by Alphasim.

The Handley Page Victor was a British jet bomber aircraft produced by the Handley Page Aircraft Company during the Cold War. It was the third and final of the V-bombers that provided Britain's nuclear deterrent. The other two V-bombers were the Avro Vulcan and the Vickers Valiant. Some aircraft were modified for strategic reconnaissance role using both cameras and radar. After the Royal Navy assumed the nuclear deterrence mission using submarine-launched Polaris missiles in 1969 many surviving bombers were converted into aerial refuelling tankers. The last Victor was retired from service on 15 October 1993. Freeware package by Virtavia.

The Xtreme Prototypes CF-105 Arrow for Flight Simulator is available on CD-ROM or download and can be purchased online from Xtreme Prototypes or from add-on resellers at the competitive price of $34.99 USD (suggested retail price). The add-on is compatible with FSX SP2, FSX Acceleration Expansion Pack, FS2004, WindowsR XP SP2 and WindowsR VistaTM.
The witcher 1 game download. The Avro Arrow remains the stuff legends are made of many years after it was ordered destroyed just before it could fulfill its intended role as a new type of all-weather interceptor against long-range enemy bombers during the Cold War. The Arrow was a revolutionary aircraft and one of the most advanced of its time. It used computer control and 'fly by wire' technology and was capable of flying over Mach 2.
The Xtreme Prototypes CF-105 Arrow is a chance to experience first hand the sheer performance of an aircraft whose advanced systems and cockpit ergonomics were quite a challenge for the test pilots who flew them fifty years ago. The add-on package will allow virtual pilots to fly at high altitudes at twice the speed of sound, simulate the procedures required during the flight, and even test the anticipated performance of the mighty Orenda PS-13 'Iroquois' engine that was being installed in the Arrow Mk. 2 at the time the Arrow program was cancelled.
The Xtreme Prototypes Arrow add-on aircraft package contains five variations of the Avro CF-105 Arrow Mk. 1 equipped with two Pratt & Whitney J75-P-5 turbojet engines (RL-201 to RL-205) and one variation of the Avro CF-105 Arrow Mk. 2 equipped with two mighty Orenda PS-13 'Iroquois' turbojet engines (RL-206).
Each aircraft is highly detailed and has been carefully modeled based on available archive material in order to conform as closely as possible to the real-world Avro Arrow.
The exterior 3D models contain 600 parts and 60 animations with reflective textures, unique markings, movable control surfaces (elevator, ailerons, vertical stabilizer/rudder and speed brakes), fully animated engine turbine and compressor disks and exhaust nozzles (petals), extendable landing gear, movable canopies with cockpit details, pilot/navigator and animated parts. All aircraft feature custom sounds and a dozen of special visual effects such as engine smoke, wingtip vortices, afterburner flame and shock waves effects and aircraft lights.
The custom flight model includes functional afterburners, basic autopilot modes and delta wing flight characteristics. It allows the virtual aircraft to simulate supersonic flight at high altitude in FSX, FSX Acceleration Expansion Pack and FS2004. The aircraft can accelerate up to beyond Mach 2 and reach an altitude of nearly 60,000 feet while still showing fairly good overall maneuverability.
Each Arrow add-on aircraft model comes with a fully functional virtual cockpit which contains over 900 parts and nearly 200 animated gauges, switches, levers, light indicators and flight instruments with tooltips. Each VC has been meticulously created to conform as closely as possible to the cabin of the real CF-105 Arrow and to allow a total 3D immersion into the Avro Arrow flying environment. The Xtreme Prototypes CF-105 Arrow package contains two different virtual cockpits corresponding to different time periods or aircraft configurations.
The full 3D gauges have been carefully designed and modeled based on the original analog instruments found in the real Arrow during the 1950s. Virtually all devices in the cockpits are functional and behave like the original ones found in the real-world Avro Arrow.
Each Arrow add-on aircraft comes with one main instrument panel and a number of secondary panels. The VC has cockpit (white or red) spotlights and backlit instrument panels that are lit when the cockpit and/or panel lighting switches on the right side panel are turned on.
Another interesting feature of the VC is the possibility to render the canopy 'invisible' to create the impression that the aircraft is equipped with a 'bubble' glass canopy. The 'invisible' canopy gives more visibility to the virtual pilot, especially during landing.

A.V. Roe's Type 621 Tutor[1][2] was a two-seat British radial-engined biplane from the interwar period. It was a simple but rugged initial trainer that was used by the Royal Air Force as well as many other air arms worldwide.
Design and development[edit]
The Avro Model 621 was designed by Roy Chadwick as an Avro private venture metal replacement for the Avro 504. Conceived as a light initial pilot trainer, the biplane design featured heavily staggered equal-span, single-bay wings; the construction was based on steel tubing (with some wooden components in the wing ribs) with dopedlinen covering. A conventional, fixed divided main undercarriage with tailskid was used in all but the latest aircraft, which had a tailwheel.
The Model 621 was powered either by a 155 hp (116 kW) Armstrong Siddeley Mongoose or Armstrong Siddeley Lynx IV (180 hp/130 kW) or IVC (240 hp/179 kW) engine; later Lynx-powered models had the engine enclosed in a Townend ring cowling. The Mongoose-powered version was called the 621 Trainer and the more numerous Lynx-engined aircraft the Tutor. The Tutor also differed by having a more rounded rudder.
The first flight of the prototype G-AAKT was in September 1929, piloted by Avro chief test pilot Captain Harry Albert 'Sam' Brown.
Operational history[edit]
Avro Tutor, 1937
Production was started against an order for three from the Irish Free State and 21 Trainers from the Royal Air Force. The RAF required a replacement for the wooden Avro 504, and after three years of trials against other machines such as the Hawker Tomtit it was adopted as their basic trainer, supplanting the 504 in 1933 and remaining in this role until 1939. As well as the 21 Trainers a total of 381 Tutors and 15 Avro 646 Sea Tutors were eventually ordered by the RAF. RAF units to operate the type in quantity included the Royal Air Force College, the Central Flying School and Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 5 Flying Training Schools.[3]
Subsequently, the Model 621 achieved substantial foreign sales. A.V. Roe and Co exported 29 for the Greek Air Force, six for the Royal Canadian Air Force, five for the Kwangsi AF, three for the Irish AF (where it was known as the Triton) and two for each of the South African and Polish AFs. In addition 57 were licence-built in South Africa, and three licence-built by the Danish Naval Shipyard.
The sole surviving Tutor wearing the 1930s yellow training colour scheme at RAF Abingdon in 1968
A total of 30 Tutors were exported to the Greek Air Force and at least 61 were licence-built [4] in Greece by KEA. A number of Greek Tutors was incorporated in combat squadrons after Greece's entrance in WWII, used as army cooperation aircraft.
Known for its good handling, the type was often featured at air shows. Over 200 Avro Tutors and five Sea Tutors remained in RAF service at the beginning of the Second World War.
The 621 was designed as a military trainer and few reached the civil registers. In the 1930s, in addition to ten prototypes and demonstrators, two were used by Alan Cobham's Flying Circus and two trainers were retired from the RAF into private use. One 621 was used from new by Australian National Airways. After the war another four ex-RAF 621s appeared on the civil register.

The Shuttleworth Collection's Avro Tutor K3215/G-AHSA
G-AHSA was used for communication duties during the Second World War, struck off December 1946 and purchased by Wing Commander Heywood. After suffering engine failure in the early stages of the filming of Reach for the Sky, it was purchased by the Shuttleworth Collection and restored to flying condition.[7]
Up to the end of 2003, G-AHSA was still flying as K3215 in RAF trainer yellow. Since January 2004 it has flown painted as K3241 in the colours of the Central Flying School. (The real K3241 built in 1933, served RAF College Cranwell, until transferred to the CFA in 1936.)
You should apply this fix only to Microsoft Surface units that are experiencing this specific problem. .Some Microsoft Surface units might occasionally stop responding (that is, lock up or freeze) to any input, including touch input, a keyboard, or a mouse, even if the SCM status indicator lights in the I/O connections area show Green-Green-Green (which indicates no problems).
